Day 1 -
LIMA (FRIDAY)
Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to the
Hotel.
Day 2 - LIMA / CUSCO (SATURDAY)
You will be picked up from your Hotel in Lima and
transferred to the Lima airport for the flight to Cuzco
(airfare included). Upon arrival, you will be met and
driven to 5stars deluxe Hotel. In the afternoon pick up
between 1:15pm and 1:30pm. This tour includes the
Qoricancha (temple of the sun) and the Cathedral. The
tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to famous
fortress of Sacsayhuaman, then to Q’enqo, Puca Pucara
and Tambomachay Including Spanish and English speaking
guide. Also included in this is a tourist card, giving
you access to all the sites in the Cuzco area as a whole
(i.e., including outside of the City itself). This tour
finishes at 18:00, Overnight. (no meals)
Day 3 - SACRED VALLEY TOUR (SUNDAY)
after breakfast at your hotel, You will be picked up
between 8.15am and 8.45am. Full day excursion to the
Sacred Valley of the Incas, visiting: the village of
Pisac, a picturesque town of Creole and colonial aspect
and its Indian market and craftfair. Lunch provided. In
the afternoon you'll visit to the fortress of
Ollantaytambo, an architectural group that in the days
of the Tahuantinsuyo empire was a gigantic agricultural,
administrative, social, religious and military complex,
then the Chinchero market. At the end, return to Cusco
arriving at 6:30pm approximately (B, L)
Day 4 - CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU (overnight) (MONDAY)
private transportation from your hotel to the Poroy
train station. The Hiram Bingham departs from Poroy
Station (20 minutes outside Cusco) at 9am which gives a
more leisurely start to the day than the traditional 6am
departures of other train services to Machu Picchu.
Brunch is served on board the train whilst passengers
watch the spectacular scenery unfolding before them.
From the agricultural plains of the Sacred Valley, to
the crashing waters of the Urubamba river, and as you
get closer to Machu Picchu the soaring mountains, the
scenery is constantly changing, and the Hiram Bingham
travels at a speed where this can be appreciated. The
train arrives into Aguas Calientes where private
minibuses await passengers to escort them on the fifteen
minute journey up to the citadel, avoiding the queues.
Upon arrival at the Machu Picchu entrance, passengers
can go straight into the citadel as tickets will have
been pre-purchased for all guests. A guide will escort
you around the citadel in small groups, pointing out the
best of the ruins and recounting the history of this
Inca settlement. After the guided tour, guests are given
the choice to wander alone through this fascinating
World Heritage site, or to enjoy Afternoon Tea at the
Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, the Orient-Express hotel
located right at the entrance to the citadel. (breakfast,
brunch, optional afternoon tea at Macchu Picchu
sanctuary lodge hotel, dinner at hotel)
Day 5 - MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO (TUESDAY)
Morning at leisure to explore the area by your own (entrance
fee and transportation not included). In the afternoon
you will take the train to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco,
The Hiram Bingham departs at 18.00. Guests are welcomed
back on board with pre-dinner cocktails served in the
Bar Car with live musical entertainment. Later a 4-course,
à la carte dinner is served in the dining cars. The
train pulls into Poroy station just outside Cusco at
21.25. private transportation from Poroy train station
to your hotel in Cusco city. (breakfast, 4-course, à la
carte dinner)
Day 6 - PUNO (WEDNESDAY)
Transfer to the train or bus station. Ten hour bus or
train ride to Puno*, across the scenic high Andes
landscapes only dotted by small villages and herds of
the llamas and vicuñas. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel
for overnight. (B, L) *Additional fare of $250.00 per
person if travelling by train. Ask for availability.
Day 7 - UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS - TITICACA LAKE (THURSDAY)
You will be picked up from your hotel at 7:30 am. after
a 2 hour motorboat ride, you will arrive at the Uros
island. Fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating
islands of the Uros. The residents of the Uros use the
cattail, a type of rush, which grows in the lake, to
create the conditions that ensure the islands stay
afloat. The dense roots that the plants develop support
the island. The roofs are waterproof and the houses are
extremely humid because of the surrounding water. At
present, they speak Quechua and Aymara. Then we
will visit the Taquile island, where we will have lunch
in the cooperative restaurant. There is also a
cooperative shop on the plaza that sells exceptional
wool goods which are of very fine quality and somewhat
expensive. Taquile Island is famous for its craft
production, particularly for its beautiful textiles. The
island is narrow at about 1 KM wide and 6 to 7 KM long.
On Taquile there are numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins as
well as Inca terracing. We will return in Puno in the
afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Puno. (B, L)
Day 8 - SUN ISLAND - TITICACA LAKE (FRIDAY)
You will be picked up from your hotel at 6:30 am. You
will go overland across the border through the colonial
town of Juli, and the village of Yunguyo: Juli and
Pomata were very important cultural canters in the 17th
century and their magnificent churches give testimony to
that old splendor. You will arrive into Copacabana after
about 3 hours. Copacabana is the most important
religious sanctuary of Bolivia, thousands of pilgrims
visit every year the virgin of Copacabana also known as
Native Madonna , you will visit the main square and the
impressive Cathedral (1/2 hour tour). You will arrive
into the Sun Island after about 1 hour of a spectacular
catamaran cruise including lunch on board, this island
has been identified as the birthplace
of several revered entities, including the sun itself. A
source of magnetic energy, the vertex of the earth and
the cradle of the Inca Empire, the Inca couple Manco
Capac and Mama Ocllo appeared here and founded the Sun
Empire.
During a 2 hours Sun Island Tour you will visit:
• The Inca garden, the island micro climate provides the
ideal location for this garden that during Inca times
was full of Andean flowers, water and trees.
• The Inca Steps that was built by the Incas in order to
reach the Inca Water spring
• The Inca water spring, a natural water spring with 3
different openings of different tastes, this Inca made
water fountain is supposed to be a source of eternal
youth.
• The Sun Island Inti Wata Complex, that contains the
largest amount of archaeological items founded in the
island and the largest demo variety of Andean flora and
fauna available in Bolivia.
• The Sun Island Kallawaya Ancient Ceremony,
witchcrafts, natural medicine, art, magic, and millenary
traditions are part of the mystic world of the
Kallawayas heritage. The purpose of this mystic ceremony
is to purify the souls of the Chinkana holy temple
visitors, this Ceremony take place in an Inca altar at
the top of the hill facing the temple and overlooking
the lake. You will then proceed back to Copacabana and
then to Puno, we will return in Puno at 6:30 PM and
overnight at hotel (B, L)
Day 9 TRANSFERS TO LIMA (SATURDAY)
Morning at leisure and in the afternoon transfer to the
airport where you will take a flight to Lima (airfare
included). Upon arrival transfer to Hotel for overnight.

Day 10 (SUNDAY)
Pick up and transfer to the airport to take the
international flight to Quito or Guayaquil (airfare not
included) Meeting and assistance upon arrival in Quito
and transfer to the Hotel for overnight.
Day 11 (MONDAY)
Baltra Airport. Departure from Quito or Guayaquil to
Baltra (2 and half hour flight). Passengers are picked
up at the airport by our guides and taken to the pier to
board the M/V Galapagos Legend. North Seymour Dry
landing. Guests will encounter swallow-tailed gulls,
blue footed boobies, and sea lions. This site is a major
nesting colony of blue footed boobies, and has the
largest colony of the magnificent frigate bird.
Travelers will also spot both the marine iguanas and the
land iguanas (b, l, d)
Day 12 (TUESDAY)
Santa Cruz (Dragon Hill). Dry landing. Passengers walk
to a saltwater lagoon behind the beach, where on
occasion many pink flamingos can be observed. This trail
leads up to Dragon Hill, which offers a lovely view of
the bay. This is a nesting site for reintroduced land
iguanas, and there is also a Holy Stick Forest. Floreana
(Cormorant Point). Wet landing on a greenish colored
sand beach. Visitors will hike from the black mangrove
beds to a large, brackish lagoon, which holds one of the
biggest flamingo populations in the Galapagos. This
island features endemic plants such as Scalesia villosa,
Galapagos daisies, white and black mangrove, and holy
stick (b, l, d)
Day 13 (WEDNESDAY)
Española (Suarez Point). Dry landing. Visitors will
learn more about the lava terrain and hike cross the
inactive lava fields. Besides the sea lion colonies,
this is a very important site for bird watching. Various
bird species such as the mockingbird of Española, Nazca
booby and tropic bird can be spotted and observed from
very close. You will also see a large colony of marine
iguanas, lava lizards, and rally light foot crabs. After
a short trek visitors encounter colonies of masked and
blue-footed boobies. The nesting grounds sometimes
overlap the trail. Visitors will also find Galapagos
doves, hawks and swallow-tailed gulls and then reach the
world’s largest colony of waved albatross. A major
highlight is their mating season, from May through
December. You’ll visit the famous blowhole, where water
shoots into the air 23 m (75 ft) up. San Cristóbal
(Interpretation Center or La Galapaguera). Dry landing
at Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Passengers will visit San
Cristóbal breeding center and learn about the National
Park’s breeding program with the giant tortoises.
Passengers will observe some animals in their natural
environment.
Passengers will also have the opportunity to the visit
the town and go shopping for souvenirs and arts and
crafts. (b, l, d)
Day 14(THURSDAY)
Santa Cruz (Carrión Point). Today, passengers can choose
either a ride in an outboard motorboat to observe the
Galapagos fur seal, seabirds and marine wildlife or go
snorkeling to see a variety of tropical fish, manta rays
or even harmless white-tipped reef sharks. Return to the
Galapagos Legend, check-out and transfer to the airport.
Return flight to Quito (AIRFARE INCLUDED). Meeting and
assistance upon arrival and transfer to the Hotel for
overnight. (b, l)
Day 15 (FRIDAY)
Today's Quito city tour takes you to the Legislative
Palace, the monastery of San Augustin, Plaza of
independence, La Compania Church, Cathedral of San
Francisco & Panecillo Hill for a panoramic view of the
city. Overnight at the hotel. (b)
Day 16 (SATURDAY)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your
connection flight. (B)
